Stop what you’re doing and head to your local drugstore.
If you’ve been reading Lifestyle Gleam for a while now, then you might know that one of my favorite and most loved/trusted skincare products is Josie Maran Argan Oil. It’s just one of those products that I refuse to go without; I use it on my face, my cuticles, my hair, I mix it in with my body lotion, etc, etc. So when I ran out both of my “regular” and emergency supply, I was pretty bummed out, especially because my skin still feels pretty very dry at the moment.
Day after that I went to Target to get some stuff for the house and naturally, I found myself browsing through the beauty section within 3 minutes of getting there because, well that’s just what I do. Walking past Physician’s Formula I noticed this Argan Wear Nourishing Argan Oil and thought “hmmmm….. curious…very curious.” First thing I did was look at the ingredient list, expecting it to be filled with fragrance and some other stuff that isn’t any good for the skin. To my surprise, the only ingredient was argan oil!
I’ve been using for the last couple of days and I have to say that this stuff is just as good as Josie Maran Argan Oil. The feel, the texture, the level of moisture it provides- it’s exactly the same. Looking at the bottle I thought that Physicians Formula Nourishing Argan Oil might have a thicker formula than Josie Maran stuff, but it absorbs into skin just as nicely, leaving it feeling soft, smooth and nourished.
A 1 oz bottle of Physicians Formula Nourishing Argan Oil costs around $14.99, whereas 0.5 oz of Josie Maran Argan oil sells for around $16.00. The only thing that I probably don’t like about Physicians Formula Nourishing Argan Oil is that it claims to be a “moisturizer, primer, brightener, protector, treatment.” It’s definitely a great multi-tasker but those claims are a bit exaggerated. If you’re looking for a way to give your moisturizer a boost, if your hair is on the dry side or your cuticles are constantly dry, you NEED this oil in your life. Seriously, I’m very surprised at how much I like this stuff, especially because Physician’s Formula products have been bit of a hit and miss for me in the past. They definitely have my attention now though!

August 2, 2015 at 12:37 amThis is one of the reasons I love Target so much. I’m not familiar with argan oil, you can use it on your face, nails, hair? That sounds pretty freaking sweet!
I’ll look for this on my next Target trip :)

August 2, 2015 at 11:56 pmI love this stuff! I’ve been using it for ages off and on again, but this post has prompted me to pull it out again tomorrow.. it’s just so cheap and good. I literally have no complaints about it and that’s rare for me. Glad you’ve found it!
