What’s in my makeup bag: December
From my favorite foundation, to two palettes I can’t get enough of at the moment, today I’m giving you a sneak peak into my December makeup bag.
For foundation, I’ve been reaching for Chanel’s Vitalumiére Aqua. As much as I like full-coverage foundations, I don’t tend to use too often during colder months. Vitalumiére Aqua is lightweight and works nicely with drier skin types. The finish is also very natural-looking. For the base, I’ve also been loving Kevyn Aucoin’s Sensual Skin Enhancer– I mix it up with a tinted moisturizer for a nice coverage and light feel.
I’ve been absolutely obsessed with these two palettes: Hourglass Ambient Lighting the Edit palette and Tarte Tartelette 2 in Bloom (review and swatches here and here). I use both of them on daily basis. Even though I think that the Edit palette is overpriced, I’m still very happy I got it. Another powder product I can’t live without is Make Up For Ever’s Pro Finish powder foundation. If you have oily skin, you’d love this; I use it both to set my foundation and as a foundation, but only when my skin is “feeling” oily. One thing that never changes, regardless of season, is my choice of concealer: MAC Pro Long Wear in NC15.
I also finally got my hands on ABV’s Brow Pomade in Chocolate and it’s already my favorite brow product. You get A LOT of product in this little pot and I use the tiniest amount since I love natural-looking brows and really love how long-lasting it is. It’s very easy to overdo it when it comes to brow pomades and you can easily go from natural to very intense and “fake” looking eyebrows, so less is definitely more when it comes to these products.
I recently told you all about my new skincare routine right here, but there are two other product that I didn’t include in that post: eye cream and lip balm. When it comes to lip balms, I honestly have a ton of them and usually just use whatever I have laying around. Two of my favorite eye creams at the moment are: Bobbi Brown Extra Repair Eye Cream and Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado.
I already told you about some of my favorite December lipsticks right here, and right now I rotate between a few of them. Because I use a lot of dark lip products at the moment, and those tend to feather out, I love combining them with Make Up For Ever Lip Liner Perfector– it’s clear and goes with every lipstick color.
I’m also crazy about matte nails right now (which is pretty much always the case during this time of year ;) ) one of my favorite matte top coats is Chanel’s Long-Wear Matte Effect. And last, but certainly not last my favorite mascara, evaaahhh: Dior’s Diorshow Iconic mascara.
What’s in your makeup bag this month?

December 13, 2015 at 6:32 pmAww haha thanks Alina! I love the Skin Enhancer, although the shade I picked is a bit dark, so I like mixing it with one of my tinted moisturizers
