Effortless beauty sometimes involves using over 20 products; most of us had one of those *overplucked brows* moments and we all get sad for no reason sometimes. These are some of the things I’ve learned from you during the month of May.
I finally shared my “brow story” (is that even a thing?) and how I re-grew them after years and years of over-plucking. The secret, as it turns out, is no secret at all, as my brow treatment includes good old castor and sweet almond oils. Because I talk about face mists all the time, I also rounded up some of my favorites in this post.
We also discussed things like effortless beauty and the fact that a lot of times (or, most of the time) that effortless look isn’t so *effortless* and it involves more than just a handful of products. A lot of the products I talked about in that post, were also featured in my May Makeup Bag– which is one of my monthly features and this particular one was probably one of my most-loved What’s in My Makeup Bag posts so far. My favorite light bases for spring also made it to the blog, as did my long-weekend essentials.
I always get asked about Pinterest and how I make it work for my blog. There are quite a few Pinterest-related posts you can find here. At the beginning of the month, I talked about my top strategies for bringing massive traffic to your blog with Pinterest and stressed the importance of Pinterest SEO. Another post you guys seemed to love was my 226 Blog Post Ideas post (I recently updated it and added printable lists of ideas- if you didn’t get a chance to download it yet you can find it here). For all my blogger babes or anyone else who recently got their hands on a DSLR camera, I wrote this little guide on getting most out of your DSLR.
Mindfulness is, without a doubt, one of my favorite things to write about. In May, I talked about practicing mindfulness every day + staying present and how it all starts in the kitchen. Self-care is also big around this corner of the Internet, and I’m a huge believer that making most of your mornings can be life-changing- this is something we talked about in this post.
Lastly, one of the most popular posts in May was the 6 Steps to Changing Your Negative Mindset post. This makes me SO happy because it was also one of my favorite pieces to write. Sudden mood changes are something I’ve dealt with for a very long time and I’m really hoping that some of the tips I shared in that post were helpful. Happy June!

May 31, 2017 at 1:33 amOh, that reminds me that I wanted to ask you a question: Do you have tips on Facebook as well? I just set up a page there for a collaboration but have no clue how to bring it to life?

May 31, 2017 at 9:11 pmI pretty much automate my page and just have posts publish on there automatically as they go up on the blog. I also sometimes add images I post on my Instagram as well. Not really a FB expert since I don’t use a personal one, but it’s a nice way to stay in touch with readers and so many brands require that FB share, too, when collaborating.

June 1, 2017 at 3:37 pmTo be honest, I only made it because so many brands ask for it. I have a personal one, but I am not very active on there. Just one more way to waste time. Off to figure out how to automatically share my posts now.

May 31, 2017 at 9:16 pmThanks Love! I haven’t, but could definitely work on one. Love most of their products, but think that some are overhyped (like the overpriced sunscreen they just released).

May 31, 2017 at 6:21 pmI loved the pinterest posts – I have to go back and really go over them again.
I started with the rich pins – I actually got help from my husband coz I followed the instructions on pinterest and they didn’t work for me.
I really loved reading your eyebrow journey. I plucked mine lots too for my goth look and had to grow them back – ahhhh teenage years…
