I don't think that sounds ridiculous at all, this can absolutely be a real issue. I would suggest seeing a therapist, therapy can help you understand those patterns and triggers better and work through them. It can be really helpful in overcoming the addiction. You can also visit the MakeupRehab subreddit right here: https://www.reddit.com/r/MakeupRehab/ even if at least to see that obsessive makeup buying can be a real problem. You realizing that this has become a problem is already a big step. Wishing you best of luck and hope you can work through this! xx

Thank you for the post, unfortunately I feel like I have a real addiction and I cannot just stop buying them, despite wanting to I feel like something is ‘missing’ without it. I know how ridiculous that sounds, but it’s true. I just don’t know what I am supposed to. How do I go to a doctor and tell them I have a beauty product addiction.
