This Tartelette Amazonian Clay Palette by Tarte ($44.00, released for Spring 2015) is the ultimate dream palette: an all matte palette with statement colors infused with Amazonian clay, Vitamin E and mineral pigments for long wear, rich color payoff and smooth application.
First thing that came to my mind when opening the box was “Ermahgerd! The packaging is so freaking beautiful!” It comes in this stunning purple gradient packaging with gold, reflective lettering and a massive mirror. I also loved the fact that it felt sturdy, although it’s a bit difficult to open at first, but after a couple of uses it seemed to work a bit better.
Another thing that I absolutely love about this palette is the fact that all eyeshadows are exclusively matte. I have quite a few palettes, but none of them are all-matte so it makes this one that much more special. The first row includes warm, nude/brown colors: free spirit (cream), force of nature (nude), dreamer (warm brown), multi-tasker (chocolate), second row includes cool-toned pinks and plums: caregiver (pale pink), natural beauty (mauve), best friend (mulberry), bombshell (dark plum), third and last row has four, cool-toned neutral colors: super mom (ivory), wanderer (light brown), power player (taupe), fashionista (black). There are tons of great crease colors in this palette, soft, every-day colors like Caregiver and Super Mom, and perfect smokey-eye colors like crazy pigmented Fashionista or Bombshell.
These eyeshadows apply sooo smooth and feel just like butter, have crazy pigmentation and blend easily and are very long-lasting. Because of the smooth formula and a matte finish I think that this palette would also be great for more mature women. I’ve only had this palette for a few days and it’s already one of my favorite eyeshadow palettes that I’ve ever bought. If you’re still on the fence about getting this palette, don’t be. You need it in your life!

March 22, 2015 at 6:17 pmI wanted to get that when it first released but it wasn’t in Ulta yet, and my mom got me an Ulta gift card for Christmas so I got the IT Cosmetics Vol. 1 Palette (which is all matte too) instead…the colors here are so pretty though!
By the way, I just nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Awards :) more info is here on my page http://floraful.blogspot.com/2015/03/the-versatile-blog-award.html
