I'm a chronic self negative talker, sometimes I do that to make myself relatable to people or so that they won't feel I'm proud. Thanks for the enlightening post. The way you talk about/to yourself is as important as the way you talk about other people.

Thank you so much, Saher! It definitely is not easy, especially when it's a life-long habit.

Thank you so much for stopping by, glad you enjoyed the post! :)
This is only a blog post. Just me sharing what I've learned about and through CBT/CR over the last couple of years + tools that I use and find helpful. None of it serves as a replacement for professional advice or help, of course. There are a few links included in the post though, for anyone wanting to learn more about Cognitive Restructuring.

I really enjoyed this post. Wish you would include the sources/resources of which you found some of the information from, since some of it seems that of a psychologist's or other type of academic's. Not a stab at you, because I loved seeing this on your blog. Have to remind myself over and over, hopefully one day it'll click.

Thank you so much, Abigail. I think that catching yourself in those moments and knowing that it's an unhealthy habit can sometimes be the most difficult part. We're so used to it at times, we don't always recognize it as a "bad" thing.
