There are a few products that I’m really excited to start using over the next couple of weeks. Amongst them are a lash enhancing serum, new daytime moisturizer and two books about… food.
Nars Sheer Glow Foundation. I’ve heard lots of great things about this foundation and always wanted to try it out. Lately I’ve stopped using heavy, thick, full coverage foundations (I think that they only made my skin look worse than it actually did) and that’s why I finally decided to get Sheer Glow.
MAC’s Pro Longwear Paint Pot in “Painterly”. I’ve heard that Paint Pots work great as an eyeshadow base and my good old Elf eyeshadow primer doesn’t work as good as it used to anymore.
Stilla’s Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner in “Intense Black”. I’ve already tried this liner a few times, and so far I think that it’s absolutely amazing. It doesn’t have a dry formula like most liquid liner pens and it’s actually easy to apply.
This is a product that I’m probably the most excited about: RapidLash with hexatein complex-an eyelash enhancing serum. I only used this for two days, so obviously I can’t tell if this works yet, but it’s not irritating or uncomfortable on the skin and that’s always a good sign :) .
Olay’s Complete all day moisturizer with SPF 15 for sensitive skin. I wanted to try this because I’m still looking for a perfect sunscreen moisturizer, I just wish the SPF was a bit higher than 15.
“Food Photography. From Snapshots to great shots” by Nicole S. Young and “Gluten-free Baking : Delectable from-scratch sweet and savory breads” by Robert Landolphi. Two new books, both about food :) The first one is obviously about food photography, and it’s a great read that was recommended to me by a friend who said that I might like it and find it helpful with taking pictures for the blog. The second book is a recipe book for gluten-free baking. I’m not much of a baker, but I definitely want to change that. I remember every single Saturday my mom would bake fresh cakes, cookies and muffins all day and we’d eat them over the weekend. I’d love to start a similar, but a bit healthier tradition in our home ;) I’m very excited to start using different flours like quinoa flour, hazelnut flour or sweet potato flour and incorporate them into my baking ;) .

April 26, 2014 at 11:31 pmOooh RapidLash serum sounds wonderful! I’m always on the lookout for products to enhance eyelashes… mine are so rubbish I never really do much with them! I tried the Dior lash serum but so far haven’t been that delighted… such a price tag for not a lot of oomph really ;)
I want to try the Shu Uemura eyelash curlers as I’ve head rave reviews and then perhaps buy a serum too. Can’t wait to hear more of your thoughts on the RapidLash, hopefully it proves its worth for you!

It’s great that you want to start the baking tradition but in a healthier way, I’m not much of a baker either but baking makes the house smell so good!
