Nail colors for spring 2016
Easiest way to update your look this spring? Changing up your nail color.
Beautifully manicured nails can be a perfect accessory. Why? Well, for one, nail polish is less expensive than jewelry, a nice pair of shoes or a cute handbag… and, if need be, you can change up your mani according to your mood.
Here are a few gorgeous colors to rock this spring.
PASTEL BLUE
Blue can sometimes be difficult to pull off- but not when you go with a soft, pastel shade. Blue is calming, soothing shade, one that will remind you of sky, sea and being out in nature. Pictured here is Bleuette from the Dior Glowing Gardens Spring 2016 Collection– very flattering pastel blue.
LILAC
Lilac has spring written all over it- especially because it mimics those fresh spring blooms. It’s a beautiful color that’s energizing, it packs that bright punch, it’s crisp and just oh-so-pretty to look at! Pictured here is Smith & Cult Lacquer in Fauntleroy.
SOFT PINK
It’s feminine, soft and delicate. It’s one of these colors that just goes with everything, fits any occasion and transitions well- wear it to work, for a girls’ night out, or to the beach. Pictured here is Essie nail polish in Muchi-Muchi.
CREAM
Creamy off-whites with gray or beige undertones are much more flattering than white. Off-white colors are also much less intimidating and from my experience, much easier to work with. It’s a very subtle, classy and feminine color with these lovely pastel vibes. Once again, this is one of these colors that you can rock anytime of day, regardless of occasion. It’s fresh and universally flattering. Pictured is Marc Jacobs Beauty Hi-Shine Lacquer in White Snow.
CREAMY PEACH
Creamy, peachy nudes are gorgeous. They keep things neutral, look feminine, clean and classy. Because such shades are so close to the color of skin, they also sort of elongate the fingers and will make your hands look lengthened. Rather than true, flesh-toned nudes, creamy peach shades wont’ blend in with your skin, if you’re a fair-skinned beauty. Pictured here is a Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab Pro polish in Peaches & Cream from the Spring 2016 Afternoon Delight collection.
Regardless of which one of these colors you choose this spring, keep in mind that bright and pastel colors tend to accentuate dry cuticles and unevenly shaped nails. This is a perfect excuse to treat yourself to an at-home spring mani session! I highly recommend using oils to keep those cuticles looking pretty- all year long.

March 16, 2016 at 2:25 pmI can’t pull off blues, I have always tried dark ones but not soft pastels. If I can find something similar to bluelette, I can give it a try :) Muchi-Muchi and peaches & cream are my type of colours, they are so pretty!

March 18, 2016 at 11:46 pmI loved the Dior, Essie, and Marc Jacobs colors- I’ve been obsessed with pastel colors recently! I recently purchased the color Mint Candy Apple from Essie and I’ve been loving it! I’ve been meaning to get my hands on a pastel pink and blue color though, so I’ll have to check out the ones you recommended. :)
