Morning affirmations to start your day

morning affirmations

Each morning, we are born again.

How do you start your day? Over the last couple of years, positive affirmations have become a big part of my daily routine. Your morning routine can have a huge impact on how your day unfolds- especially if your mind often starts engaging in negative self-talk the minute you open your eyes. Creating a routine where you start your day by doing, thinking or saying something positive, is a good way to shift your focus.

Affirmations are short, simple yet powerful statements that help to assert something to be true in your subconscious mind (sort of like making your subconscious thoughts, conscious). They’re first-person mantras that you repeat over and over again. Using positive affirmations on a daily basis can transform your life. If you wake up feeling anxious or your mornings are filled with dread, affirmations can help you shift into a calm state of mind.

And guess what? Research proves that affirmations actually change the brain on a cellular level- our thoughts have a direct connection to our level of health. Affirmations can empower you, they make you aware of your thoughts and they’ll make you want to surround yourself with things you love. They might feel a bit…uncomfortable or unnatural at first. Once you get into the habit of using affirmations, you will notice yourself becoming more aware of your self-doubt and negative thought patterns, as they will start to change.

Mornings are great for using affirmations- as the negativity and stress of the previous day are gone, it’s perfect opportunity to remind yourself that the possibilities are endless and that there’s something to look forward to, every day in your life- regardless of your current circumstances. I like to keep my morning affirmations short as that way they’re easier to stick with.

I am meant to have an amazing life.

Today, I give gratitude for everything in my life.

Today, I feel strong, I feel healthy, I feel tranquil.

Today, I am full of energy and I’m overflowing with joy.

Today, I welcome infinite possibilities.

I am patient.

I feel calm, centered and balanced.

Good things are coming to me.

I am powerful and I create the life I desire.

My dreams are much greater than my fears.

I have limitless abilities to overcome my challenges.

Today, I have enough time to do everything I need to do.

I love and appreciate, all that surrounds me.

Morning Affirmations to Start Your Day

Remember that you are enough. There will be days (hopefully not too many of them) when you will feel lost, days when you’ll want to give up on your dreams or goals.. days when you feel like there isn’t enough time to do everything you wish to do, days when you feel alone. Having a good support system and surrounding yourself with positive people is important, but ultimately, it’s up to you to heal that negativity and doubt.

I could do with telling myself I am patient, or rather with it actually working :)

This is such an incredible post. As I read this I am sitting here this morning, doing blogging knick knacks with a smile on my face. Positivity definitely needs to be spread all over the world right now and even the blogging world. I do have a habit at times of being a bit doubtful and insecure when it comes to blogging which I am slowly but surely ridding myself of. I always love your posts Paula.

I love these! I love that you’re spreading the word with affirmations as well because I feel like they’re such a simple thing to do but most people spend a lot of their time saying negative things to themselves throughout the day instead.

My favourite one here is the one about having enough time though, I often feel like I’m racing against the clock to get things done and it gives me a lot of anxiety- so I’ll definitely be using that affirmation (saying it right now too!).

Those are such motivational things to say to yourself. We all could use with a good pick me up personal motivation sess to start the day right :)

I’m definitely going to be starting with these! We’re gearing up for our busiest time at work, which means longer and far more stressful than normal days, so I need all I can to help me keep level-headed and sane! I think “I am patient” is going to be my affirmation of choice because being constantly interrupted and having a project that should take 45 minutes take all day requires a certain amount of patience lol Thanks for sharing! ?

The “I am patient” definitely helps especially when I’m busy at work. It’s so much easier to get work done when you stay calm, rather than feel anxious and nervous about getting everything done in time.

I’m not the kind of person to give myself affirmations, not out loud and not in my head. I just can’t do it.

Every morning when I’m aware of waking up and before I open my eyes I name off a list of people and things I’m grateful for. I try to start the day off with positives and it helps me through the day.
