Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara.

Mascara is my weakness. If I had to pick just one makeup product to use for the rest of my life, it’d probably be mascara.

Maybelline mascaras are definitely amongst my favorites (their Lash Sensational mascara is one of the best drugstore mascaras I’ve ever used). When they release a new mascara, I usually pick up it up as soon as I can find it.

Maybelline says that this mascara will give you lashes that are lifted and dramatic. The formula is said to be plumping and it promises to deliver instant volume and lift that holds in place. Push up cup brush with cup-shaped bristles is supposed to scoop and lift the lashes.

Maybelline The Falsies Push up Mascara

Why I love it:

-gives great length
-fast-drying formula (this means that layering can be a little difficult if you like to take your time “coating” your lashes you gotta make it snappy! BUT it’s great for when you’re in a hurry since you don’t have to worry about any accidental smudges)
-no dry fall-out during the day
-very easy to remove

Why I don’t love it:

-what volume? Seriously this mascara gives me no volume at all. It gives a lot of length (I felt like it almost made my lashes too long and thin) but it does nothing for me in the volume department.
-what lift? I didn’t notice any “lift” in my lashes, even when using a lash curler prior to applying the mascara, my lashes wouldn’t hold a curl for a very long time.
-while the brush is really comfortable to use, I really think that the bristles are not dense enough. They are too far apart and they don’t separate the lashes very well, creating sort of a clumpy, spidery look.
-my wand is a little loose, meaning it sort of wiggles about of the cap. This never happened to me with a mascara before, so I’m not sure if I just got a faulty one, or if that’s how it’s supposed to be.
-while I love drier formulas, sometimes when using this mascara I felt like it was almost too dry. Like it’s been sitting open for a while.

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara review

Overall, I cannot say that I’m a big fan of this mascara. If you like a lot of length and don’t mind your lashes looking a bit clumpy then you’d most likely get a long with it.

Did any of you guys try this mascara? If so, how did you like it?

It does give you really good length! I don’t like clumpy mascara either. I haven’t found any drugstore mascaras that I really love or can’t live without.

I love the packaging but such a shame that it doesn’t give volume because that’s what I’m usually after in a mascara. Also the super dry formula sounds like a no go for me. I wonder if you did get a dud one that someone might have opened in store, etc? x

I actually forgot to mention it, but I really like the packaging too! No, there’s no way it was opened because the packaging was sealed, I guess it’s just how the formula is.

Ouu I haven’t seen this mascara in stores yet here in England, I love the packaging! Mascara is also my weakness! It is a little clumpy but I love how lengthening it is. xx

I really like the effect this gave your lashes but then I do like a lot of length! Pity you were a bit disappointed!

I hate mascaras, I don’t know why, they just feel all tacky and heavy on my lashes. Too bad that it doesn’t give any volume but it lengthens very nicely. I really liked the packaging of the mascara.

That’s a shame it’s not so great, I love the original Falsies! I’ve not seen this in the UK but I’m not sure I’d get it if I did – better off sticking to the normal one x

Yeah, I’d recommend you stay away from this one, unless you love a lot of length and no volume.

I’ve not heard of this mascara, although I prefer a mascara that gives me volume!

Your lashes look great although I get what you mean about the lightly spidery look :) I look for giving me lots of volume in my mascara as well, and I agree that Sensational is one of the best drugstore mascaras :) x

Such pretty packaging and promising claims so it’s such a shame it didn’t live up to its means. I think I bought a similar mascara by Maybelline a few years back and was disappointed. Nothing worse than clumpy/spidery lashes and it’s always frustrating when a mascara gives you both :/ On the upside though your eyes are so beaut Paula (without sounding like some weird stalker hehe), beautiful, beautiful blue eye inspo! You could deffo be a maybelline model but they need to up their game if they’re inviting a stunner like you onboard ;) :D <3

Oh no they didn’t. I love Falsies but I feel like the name was bad marketing. I got so excited when I saw it but that brush has put me straight off! I’m glad I saw this before I saw it in store because I’d have been in for a shock! Bristle brushes are so much better than plastic ones!

Hahaha :) I really wasn’t feeling that brush AT ALL. I think it the brush was different I might have gotten a long with it, but the fact that it didn’t separate the lashes too well was a deal breaker for me.

I literally just bought this mascara this weekend! I am th esame with you… it’s a great drugstore buy, but is just that – a good drugstore buy. Nothing spectacular! Unlike my favorite Lash Sensation mascara :)

I read great reviews so I was planning on giving it a try but now I’m not convinced. I think eyelashes are like hair, some hair products work great for others but not for me, it will be the same with mascara since eyelashes are also hair?
I’m very happy with my EUR3 mascara “LASH mania reloaded – false lash mascara” from Essence!

Oh definitely! My lashes are long as it is (I use rapidlash on them) so I always look for volume in a mascara. I have to try some of the Essence mascaras, I love their lip liners! :) Thanks so much for visiting Lyn!

Hi! Just stumbled across your blogs for the first time. I too am a mascara junkie! I and I have been spending a good portion of my life try to find one to fall in love wih. I have an entire drawer full and not a single one has made me end my search. I am just wondering what your all time favorite is so far.. For me. If I had to narrow it down to a top 3 I’d pick. Benefit they’re real. Too faced better than sex and Clinique high impact. Also like Diorshow iconic extreme and Chanel sublime de Chanel. But I neeeeeed to find one to end my search. Please help!!! I feel like I have tried them all

Hmm looks like you’ve tried all of my favorites haha :) Really don’t know which one I’d recommend other than Maybelline’s Lash Sensational and Dior’s Iconic Overcurl. Those are two of my favorite mascaras, ever (and I have over 30 of them haha :D :D )
