Lovin’ Lately

This month’s Lovin’ Lately is a little.. well.. late, BUT it’s filled with a ton of things I love, including one of THE best hydrating face masks I’ve tried in a long time.

I briefly talked about Glossier’s Milky Jelly Cleanser in this post. It’s one of my favorite cleansers at the moment and I love using this as part of my double-cleanse routine (especially after using the Akwi Cleanser*). Wish this came in a bigger bottle because I can’t stop using it. I have a thing for cleansers and this one is ahhmazing. I love the unique, cream-milky texture and the fact that it does not dry out my skin, it’s gentle and fragrance-free. You can save 20% off your first Glossier order using this link.

Another product I already talked about and still can’t get enough of is the Anarose Hydrating Rose Toner*. It’s amazing for dry and sensitive skin. I love using it to prep my skin for serums and moisturizers. Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado is an old favorite and probably one of the best eye creams I’ve ever used. It’s perfect for dry, tired and thin under eye skin.

Over the last couple of months I’ve been avoiding resurfacing products because my skin is still very sensitive. I was really tempted to try the Daily Superfioliant* from Dermalogica that was sent to me a few weeks ago and I’m so glad I did try it. It did not irritate my skin at all but left it feeling very soft and smooth. It’s an anti-pollution powder exfoliant that you dispense onto wet hands and create a creamy paste by rubbing them together. Gently massage into your skin for a minute and rinse with warm water. I use this once, twice a week and my skin feels smoother than ever.

Now, one of THE BEST products I’ve tested over the last couple of week has to be the Cocoa Moisture Mask* from Perricone MD. This hydrating mask feels so luxurious, smells like cocoa and leaves the skin feeling very soft and nourished. It’s such a fun product to use- it has those little microcapsules that *burst*open and transform the color of the mask from white to cocoa brown. My skin glows after every single use. I also finally got this little cute Etude House hair band that is perfect to use during face-masking or even washing your face. Ever since I cut my hair short again, I’ve been wearing a shower cap whenever I washed my face or took a shower since I can’t put my hair up anymore (much to my husband’s amusement, who can’t stop laughing at me whenever I wear it….). This headband is definitely a cuter alternative and it’s SO SOFT.

If you follow me on IG then you probably saw me mention a bunch of Phyto haircare products* I’ve been loving. One of my favorite out of the bunch is the Phytolisse Ultra-glossing finishing serum*. It’s an awesome product for dry and frizzy hair and a little bit goes a very VERY long way.

This Dr. Dana Nail Renewal System* is pretty amazing. I’m rarely this impressed with nail care products, you guys. I have a simple argan oil routine I’ve stuck to for years and it works great for me. This nail renewal system though, is something else. It is a three-step system that comes with a Glycolic Prep Pen, Perfect Grip Priming Wand and a Deep Hydrating Pen for nails and cuticles. I haven’t been using the Priming Wand (which is basically a nail buffer) but I’m obsessing over these two pen products. These brush-on pens are pretty genius and so easy and convenient to use. All I do is rub both into my nails and cuticles and I’m done. Prepping my nails literally takes me five minutes with these.

The Glycolic Prep Pen does such an amazing job- it transforms nails within minutes. This is before + after using the Glycolic Prep Pen followed by the Deep Hydrating Pen. All I did was massage both into my nails and cuticles. Didn’t buff my nails, not wearing any polish/conditioning product.

I’m sure that a lot of you guys have already of Harry’s– I was kindly sent one of their shave kits and actually gave it to my husband. He has very sensitive skin and is very picky when it comes to shaving products and since he loved the kit (he actually couldn’t stop talking about it) I decided to order one for myself as well. I’ve used men’s razors for as long as I can remember- they just always worked much better for me and gave me a close, smooth shave. I loved Harry’s razors as much as my husband did. I tested out both the Foaming Gel and Shave Cream and definitely prefer the gel. The razors are of amazing quality and one of the things I love most about Harry’s is the price point- they don’t cost a fortune. 15 bucks will get you a razor, three refills and a shave gel or cream. I bought the Winston set for myself which is 25 bucks.

Two makeup products that I quickly want to mention are two mineral blushes by Claré Blanc Minerals: Powder Pink and Peach Pop. I’m not too big on blush but I love these. Both shades are very natural-looking and add a beautiful healthy glow to the skin.

Powder Pink, Peach Pop

Last thing I want to mention in this month’s post is Audible. I always promise myself that I’ll read more books but I never seem to have enough time. Instead, I turned to audiobooks. My all-time favorites are Harry Potter books (duh) but I’ve also been listening to few others. I just realized that Big Little Lies that I read a few years ago was made into a TV show, so I had to read it again. Since I loved Liane Moriarty’s Big Little Lies I also decided to get The Husband’s Secret which was pretty good, although I found it to be a little… anticlimactic. I liked The Sister by Louise Jensen, but I just couldn’t get through Truly Madly Guilty– also by Moriarty. If you guys know of any good thrillers/psychological thrillers that I should read (or… listen to) please let me know!! I love a good twist :)

What are you guys loving at the moment?

I love using male razors, it just seems like shaving takes me 5x longer when I use them, so it’s always the matter of ‘do I have time or am I just going to suffer?’ decision :)

I don’t know why I always forget the Kiehls eye cream, it has been sitting on my wish list for ages now! But listening to books is something I never really got into, I get distracted so easy and then can’t follow along.

It’s such a nice and rich cream, wish it came in a tube. I love listening to audiobooks when doing laundry or cooking ;)

So the Perricone Moisture Mask looks and sounds divine as I have seen a few people rave it about it now. I was always keen on the nail system as my nails are in such poor condition right now and need all the help I can get. I did take you up on your Biotin recommendation from an older post though! It’s one of my favorite skincare products at the moment! The nail system is great too, and it’s the quickest mani you can ever give yourself without any mess!
