Fresh Seaberry Skin Nutrition Cleansing Oil

fresh-seaberry-cleansing-oil-reviewI’ve been using oils to remove my makeup for quite a few years now and I think that it’s the most gentle and effective way of pre-cleansing your skin.

One of the very first makeup removing oils I’ve ever used was Boscia’s Makeup Breakup Oil. I’ve used it for a couple of years until I fell in love with plain, regular Jojoba Oil I buy at Trader Joe’s. While I still love my Jojoba Oil and I’m not planning to stop using it anytime soon, I really wanted to try something new, perhaps something a bit lighter- that’s how I found a new favorite: Fresh Seaberry Skin Nutrition Cleansing Oil.

FROM FRESH:

“Seaberry Skin Nutrition Cleansing Oil helps remove impurities and makeup, including waterproof. The blend of nourishing oils and protective extracts effectively cleanses the skin while maintaining natural moisture levels, so skin feels soft and supple and looks healthy and radiant.”

-Seaberry oil, also known as seabuckthorn oil, is a powerful antioxidant rich in moisturizing -omegas 3, 6, 7 & 9 that help revitalize, protect, and soften the skin.
-Orpheus flower extract helps protect.
-Nigella oil helps remove impurities.
-Camellia seed oil helps nourish and retain moisture.
-Cranberry seed oil, packed with omegas 3, 6 & 9 and a type of vitamin E, helps maintain the skin’s elasticity and smoothness.
-Rocou extract is packed with potent natural antioxidants.
-Grapeseed oil helps maintain hydration levels.

THE PRODUCT

You know that usually when writing reviews I first talk about some aspects/things about the product that I really enjoy, and then talk about some things I didn’t like. This will not be the case today.

There isn’t a single thing that I didn’t like about this cleansing oil, which is huge for me. Usually, even if I enjoy a product quite a lot, there’s always a thing or two that bothers me- the scent, the packaging, etc. Fresh Seaberry Skin Nutrition Cleansing Oil is one the best skincare products I’ve tried in a while. It does a wonderful job at removing all traces of makeup and I just love how soft, smooth and supple my skin feels after each use. It’s a much lighter oil than my all-time favorite Jojoba Oil, but it still removes all makeup- even waterproof mascara. I also don’t feel like I need to rub my eyes for hours in order to get the makeup to come off. Best part of all? You don’t need to use a whole lot of product. I massage 2-3 pumps onto my dry skin then add a little warm water to let the oil emulsify and rinse. If using this at night, I follow up with a cleanser. The oil has a very delicate scent, is totally safe to use around the eyes and doesn’t leave them blurry.

THE PACKAGING

The packaging is yet another thing to love about this cleansing oil. It comes in a plastic bottle and has a pump. I’ve used several different cleansing oils and most of them have a tendency to leak which makes it difficult to keep not only the bottle, but also your bathroom sink clean (like this oil from Garnier which is AMAZING, but does have tendency to leak and get a little messy). Fresh Seaberry Skin Nutrition Cleansing Oil, however, comes with a short and sturdy pump that locks and never leaks any product out.

Do you like using oils to remove your makeup? Ever since I’ve tried them, I reallyI can’t imagine using anything else.

This sounds like such a lovely product! I haven’t yet tried a cleansing oil, though I do enjoy removing my makeup with a micellar water before using a cleanser. x

I actually haven’t used too many cleansing oils, but this one sounds really nice, so maybe I should give it a go (:

Ahhh, the leaking in the Garnier bottle! I’ve gone through 3 bottles of it and the last one didn’t leak at all so maybe they fixed it?
You know, I ran out again and haven’t been able to find it so I had to get a different version (which I liked a lot).
This products looks amazing! I really wish I could have everything from the Fresh line!

Wow this one sounds fab! I’m a huge fan of the Fresh sugar lip treatments and scrub, and I’ve been looking to try more of their skincare products. I recently started using the Oskia cleansing gel, so I’m very much a fan of these gel/oils that break down makeup. I didn’t think they could, but they’ve managed to remove my waterproof eyeliners and mascaras with no problem. Glad to hear that this one isn’t too heavily scented and doesn’t leave your eyes feeling blurry and cloudy after! I’ll definitely need to give this one a try, thanks for the thorough review on it :)

I’ve heard so much about the Oskia cleansing gel so I’m sure it’s pretty awesome. I am so happy that this isn’t overly scented too, I could definitely do without fragrance in all skincare products.

I love love love using oils to cleanse and take off my makeup. I’ve been using just straight up cold pressed rosehip and jojoba lately but I’ve heard so many good things about the Seaberry oil, I don’t know whether to pick it up next or the Kora oil by Miranda Kerr! Love that first photo lovely

This cleansing oil sounds really nice! I am also a fan of oils for the first cleanse/to remove makeup, I’m using now one from Bravura London and it’s lovely too :) x

What a gorgeous product and fantastic review. I haven’t really tried many oils as makeup removers as I don’t like products that leave a residue, but I’ll definitely keep my eyes open for this one!

Oh this doesn’t leave any residue on your skin. I use this as a pre-cleanse- I always double cleanse- first with an oil, then with a gel or cream cleanser. I just feel like regular cleansers do not do a good job at removing all makeup. :)

I never even thought to double cleanse! That’s such a good idea. Thanks for the tip x

I wasn’t using oils until a few years ago, and the first one I used was The Body Shop camomile cleansing oil and I still love it. I haven’t tried any fresh products, I just can’t get hold of them. Since there’s nothing you didn’t like about this oil, it must be so good! I also haven’t seen that Garnier oil either, it is not available in Europe or I haven’t noticed it :)

I religiously use coconut oil to remove my makeup. I cringe looking back at the days when I would use a makeup remover that stung my eyes and left everything looking blurry and gross. And sometimes I would still be left with makeup residue! Since I’ve switched to using mostly coconut oil as an oil cleanser, my makeup glides off and my skin is left happy and perfectly moisturized, but also balanced. This oil cleanser sounds amazing though, I just might have to try it!

I love coconut oil for my body, but unfortunately it breaks me out when I use it on my face! I love how balanced my skin feels too after using oils, it definitely made a change in my skin, big time. :)

This sounds lovely! I used to use a cleansing oil from Clarins (years back) that I really loved but once I ran out, I stopped with the cleansing oils altogether. I have to hop back on the wagon. I received a sample size from Bobbi Brown which I’ve yet to try but this one sounds awesome! I might want to give it a try! Great post, Paula! Xx

I tried that Bobbi Brown one too, it’s lovely but a bit too thin for my liking- sometimes I wear A LOT of makeup haha. :) Thanks so much Shay!
