After seeing Essie’s 2014 Summer Collection display, there was only one color that was appealing enough for me to buy it: Essie’s Urban Jungle. This beautiful alabaster orchid shade is edgy and simple, at the same time.
As with a lot of white or off-white based colors, I was afraid that Urban Jungle would be chalky and spotty. I was very pleasantly surprised that two coats provided an even and smooth finish. The color is a bit of an off-white with ever so slightly pink undertone and depending on the lighting, it actually looks nice. I think that this color will contrast beautifully with bronzed, summer skin.
These swatches were quite difficult for me to capture as I feel like sh*t today (I can barely move right now) and I really feel like I’m coming down with something. I still decided to to show you how beautiful Essie’s-Urban Jungle is, but now I’ll try to take a nap and/or have a little marathon of True Blood (Honestly, where has this show been all my life? Just finished season 2 last week ;) ). Hope you guys have an amazing Tuesday and I hope that you all are feeling a lot better than I am at the moment. <3

Despite not feeling well you managed to take some amazing photos (as always my girl!) you never fail to impress me with your photography, but this is especially the case with nail posts, you present them so flawlessly and really give such a fab view of the varnish and what it’s like :D

I love white nails, right now they strike me as such a perfect, bang on trend look for 2014, but I reckon they won't be in anyway a fad, I can see this timeless shade sticking around for eons yet ;)

Thank you so much Sophie, I feel a lot better now, though still not 100% myself. Those pictures were such a pain to take hahaha, I wasn’t completely happy with them, but I just couldn’t take it anymore. Sleep and some hot tea with lemon and honey (+about 20 episodes of True Blood) did the trick :)
