I am worried about the side effects, especially anxiety and depression... were there any particular triggers? I'm almost 36 and I am SO OVER the cystic acne. I am starting on June 1. I also think the blood tests are annoying and I don't like needles... so, this will be an interesting journey! Thanks for sharing your experiences.

Hi Leah! The Milky Jelly Cleanser wasn't drying on my skin while on Accutane. To be honest, every cleanser, no matter how gentle felt A LITTLE drying, with the exception of MUN Akwi Cleanser. It all depends on how dry your skin gets during treatment- mine was awfully dry. As long as you use a good, plain, fragrance-free moisturizer after cleansing, you should be good with the Milky Jelly Cleanser! Cetaphil in a tub cream worked great for me. Hope you get amazing results from your treatment!! xx

Thanks for the wonderful post! I am 20, and have tried a million different things -- antibiotics, the pill, spironolactone, topicals, etc. My skin isn't "bad," per se -- nothing crazy, acne-wise -- but nothing has worked, so I'm finally going on accutane! I am so excited! I was wondering if you think the Milky Jelly Cleanser from Glossier would be moisturizing enough while I am on accutane? I've been intrigued by it for awhile now but don't want to buy it if it won't work for the next few months!

Hi Love, I started at 40mg for a first month and then my doctor raised it to 60mg a day. Total was six months. I hope you get great results from your treatment and that you experience minimal side effects! x

Hi Paula, I'm on Accutane too, waiting for good things to happen with my skin! May I ask you what was your dose of Accutane during the entire course?
